I LOVE THE MTC!!!!!!!!

Oh man I don't even know where to start, besides I LOVE THE MTC. And I LOVE being a missionary. This past week has been a week of straight blessings and straight miracles. When I got into the MTC the second person that I saw was Sister Edmunds.

It was such a blessing and I was so excited. Then I walked in and had the wonderful opportunity to get my name tag. Oh man...It is the best feeling to represent Christ and get to wear his name all the time.

AND for the BIGGEST MIRACLE OF ALL........ MY COMPANION. Her name is Sister Skousen. And believe it or not we were really good friends this past year at Utah State. We were in the same singles ward and now we get to be companions!!!!! The lord blesses us through all things. AND IT IS THE BEST. We laugh constantly and we enjoy teaching so much. On the second day we were here Sister Skousen and I were called as STL's in our zone. We were terrified and we still are lol, but I am so grateful for the opportunity to better get to know the sisters in our zone. We get to welcome the new missionaries on Wednesday and I am so excited.

I don't even know where to start but every day is jam packed from 6:30am-9:30pm and its honestly the best thing. We are constantly learning, teaching, reading the scriptures or eating. and I enjoy all of those so much. In the MTC you are put with a district and you are with them most of the day... and I LOVE MY DISTRICT. They are incredible. there are only 6 of us.. and we are the best of friends. We have two elders, and 4 sisters. The tallest elder is elder Gaskill and he is from New Zealand. He has the coolest accent and is kind of quiet but when he talks he is so funny! I think he makes us laugh the hardest. and we have Elder Corlew he is from Florida. He is a convert to the church and his testimony IS SO STRONG. He gives us the point of view from an investigator and its helping us all learn so much.  AND my sisters.OH MY HECK HOW I LOVE THEM. Two of them of from Idaho... so my new home state, and my companion is from Lehi! We all get along very well and when we aren't studying or teaching we all laugh constantly. I'm convinced we have the most fun. One of the sisters in my district is Sister Silva, she is the tall sister with brown hair. She loves to fish, and ride dirt bikes, and we basically are the same human. Her companion is sister Jennkins. She is the sister with bangs and she is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She is so selfless and always trying to help others. She is such a great example to me and we have so much fun. My companions name is sister Skousen. SHE IS THE BEST. We have so much fun. I cant imagine going through the MTC with someone else. We love to teach and we love spending every second together. We have had some really awkward moments together and I am so glad we can just laugh at them. She is so patient with me and I am so glad. I introduce myself as Shelby instead of Sister Wiser at least once a day. When we went to teach our first investigator I Introduced myself by my first name and we all just laughed about how I am reveiling my deepest secret lol. What an adjustment. Thank goodness this gospel is perfect so we don't have to be. The classes are so incredible and I feel like I am drinking out of a fire hose constantly but its the best information. I absolutely love the MTC. I love being a missionary. We watched a talk by David A Bednar called the characters of Christ and it was one of the most benifcial l talks I have ever listened to. It talked about focusing on others and being fully converted to Christ. Not just being fully converted to his gospel but to him. It was powerful. One of the greatest lessons I have learned at the MTC is that God really does love each and every one of us. There are times when we will start teaching and I get a glimpse of how our father in heaven feels and I just want to hug these people and give them all of my time. I know that God lives. I know that even though it is hard we need to trust in him. If he will help your next door neighbor he will help YOU as well. I love this gospel. I Love representing my savior Jesus Christ. If you don't know that God is aware of you... ASK HIM. I love you all. So MUCH.

Love, Sister Wiser
