It's not looking like Christmas yet...

Well I finally got transferred!!! I am now in Branham and I absolutely love this area. They are CRAZY mission minded. And my companion, Sister Folkman, is the best of the best. She is a fantastic missionary and she is hilarious.

We seriously laugh constantly. She is probably the sweetest, funny, sarcastic and happy person I have ever met. We are having so much fun and are enjoying this Christmas season SO MUCH.

We got four people on date this week, and will get baptized in January. So THATS EXCITING. We got to go to San Jose and do a free hot chocolate stand and hand out wrapped Book of Mormons. It was so fun!!!! We has this HUGE wooden book of mormon and so many people came up to ask "why are young girls standing by this book so happy" and we got to tell them how its changed our life and it was AWESOME! We talked to SO MANY people!!! Also we got to go and feed the homeless yesterday it was humbling and wonderful. A family here in south San Jose who kind of struggles financially gave up their Christmas to buy a lot of food and stuff to make a hot meal for the homeless. They spent all day cooking and we got to go with them to deliver it. We went to multiple different homeless camps and they were SO grateful for Hot food on a cold night. It was so humbling and heart breaking to see how many people there were. We got to hand out lots of book of mormons and  we truly felt the Christmas spirit. I feel so grateful and so INCREDIBLY blessed. We honestly have so much and so many blessings. I am feeling extremely blessed this Christmas. Who would have ever thought a Christmas spent away from home and family could be filled with so much joy and happiness. How grateful I am for our dear savior who is the source of the joy we feel, and how much I love celebrating his birth. I feel so blessed to be a missionary this Christmas. I love you. Merry Christmas. ❤

My CUTE new companion Sister Folkman.
She is the BEST.

A cute lady named Bette who gave us jackets!

We did a Free Hot Chocolate stand, and gave out wrapped Books of Mormon!! It was so fun and did it right in the middle of San Jose. Got to meet so many wonderful people and we sang Christmas carols.

Sister Folkman and I also had to CARRY like 50 books of mormon like 9 blocks to get to our little stand. It was hilarious, and we now have biceps of steal.... hahah

Heres a funny email from sister Becker, funny stories I didn't have time to type haha love you.

Merry Christmas Eve, everybody!!
This last week has been the weirdest and most thrown off week since the beginning of my mission!!
Sister Wiser was mid-transferred to San Jose, so the first few days were full of packing and cleaning and organizing and Christmas prepping, etc. As soon as she was gone, we gave up the car and have the bikes again, so Sister Sim and I have been biking around Morgan Hill during the holiday season... Thank goodness the church just announced that sister missionaries can wear nice pant-slacks because we look like goons on our bikes, with dresses that are hiked up, leggings underneath.. So, we are excited about that.

Last week, Sister Wiser, Sim and I had one final p-day together and so we went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.. It was a really good time.. lots of fun and pictures and OH! We went to a fun store at the beginning, called the Harbor House, and missionaries get a 50% off discount on everything, and as we were heading to the car, we were like 5-10 minutes after the parking time... and I was worried!! As we walk up, there is a guy writing us a ticket.. and the conversation goes kinda like this:

Sister Wiser asks, "Are you writing us a ticket?"

Him- "Well, I was..."

Sister Wiser: "Could you maybe not, now that we are here? Please?"

Him: "You know, I saw those books in the back of your car and thought maybe I shouldn't.." (Bibles and Book of Mormons)

Sister Wiser: Awesome, thanks!! Happy Holidays!

And then he left.. It was awesome. The scriptures have power!! In many ways.. they saved us from a ticket..
