Ahh HELLO! It's been another great week down here in San Jose! Time is moving so fast!! Sister Folkamn and I looked at the calender this week and I hit my 8 month mark, and she hit her 4 month mark. That's crazy time is going TO FAST!

But funny stories for this week:

Chocolate pudding or poop
We were teaching a lesson to the family that's getting baptized this week, and when we walked in we got a STRONG whiff of poop. Ha and we were kinds nervous because we didn't want to sit in it, and I looked over at the little boy and he was eating this brown stuff off the floor with a spoon. Hahahahaha I honestly was so shocked at what I was seeing I froze.. haha but good news we realized it was just chocolate pudding that had spilled... and the little boy needed a diaper change. Haha but it was just chocolate pudding.

Well shoot..... sorry
So this week we were in a lesson with a lady named Tanvis. We were teaching her and she had just finished telling us how the last missionaries she studied with were super pushy and only wanted her to be baptized. So we decided to read the book of Mormon with her because she loves it. So we start reading 3 Nephi 11, right after we told her we won't push her into being baptized, my companion reads a verse that says "THOSE WHO AREN'T BAPTIZED ARE DAMNED." hahahahaha I LOST IT. So being the awkward people we are we addressed how Gods the one who's being pushy not us. Ha she laughed, and it went well but man I DIED it was SO funny.

Highlight of my life
So we have been working with an aweome family and the mom and oldest son are getting baptized this week! We are SO EXCITED. But on Sunday we had a hymnamony where people pick their favorite Hymns and then tell the congergation why they like it. And Casey the mom leans over and asks if she can take her favorite song up! Completely shocked, we said yes and she asked if I would go up with her! She is super shy, and quiet, but she was so excited. So we went up and picked a song, and she stood up in front of the entire congregation telling everyone shy she loves this song! It was amazing.  It was hymn 200! She completely inspired me, and everyone in the congregation. It was incredible. Then when we went to go sit down, her little 5 year old boy yelled "mommy I'm so proud of you, you did so good" and threw his arms around her. It was the sweetest moment.

My homie just got out of jail
So we have been teaching a few women who have recently been in jail.. Ha and they take such good care of us. They protect us like crazy and are getting their lives back on track and turning to God. But we go to teach this lady named Lorena and when we walk up to her door it's been broken into... But it was like put back together, ha so we we knocked and then behind us we need someone yell "girl, are you looking for me?" And it was our girl Lorena! Ha and the first thing she tells us is that she just got out of jail, and had to break Into her house because they have her keys. But we had an incredible lesson with her and she talked about how she is changing her life. She is done living like she has and she is ready to turn to Christ! So Sister Folkman asked her, "so what date would you like to be baptized?" And she said as soon as possible! So that was exciting she will be getting baptized in February!

It's been another fantastic week!! We had a really cool discussion with our zone this week on faith, and our doubts. There's an incredible talk on LDS.org called "Fear not, but be believing!" By Elder and Sister Rasband. It's amazing. I would 10/10 recommend you listen to it. It talks about the power faith has, and what our doubts can do. Doubts truly are the opposite of faith, and if we want to have a strong relationship and faith in Christ, we have to center our testimonies, and lives on him. He is our anchor and if we don't connect our selves to him we will surely drift away. I am positive our faith is more powerful than we will ever understand, that's what Satan works so hard at destroying it. Hope you have the best week.

Love, Sister Wiser
