We haven't bounced back..

Hello hello!! So last week was a pretty exciting week and Sunday ended with scaring the mom van... Haha and on Sunday we kept saying "today's a little rough, but we will bounce back." Well unfortunately we haven't bounced back yet, because we both go sick,  HAHAHA but that's okay! This week was still super great!!

Hermana Wiser?
Got to go on splits this week with Sister Thomas, who I went to college with. Crazy! We hung out in the same friend group at Utah State, then we were companions for a day. It was SO FUN. she is also in the Spanish branch, so spent a whole day teaching and practicing Spanish. It was SO fun and I learned so much. Also funny story sister Folkman can understand and speak Spanish but her accent is super white.. So I usually speak everything I can, then she translates and tells me what to say back because they can't understand her Spanish.... So we make a pretty good team, and she tells me what to say, hah it's awesome. (:

Rabies from Rabee?
So we are teaching this man named Rabee, and unfortunate he has herpes... and when we were teaching him he was reading from Sister Folkman's book of Mormon. However, he was picking at this sore on the side of his face and the flakes were falling on to her book of Mormon. It was nasty! The unfortunate part of this story is that Sister Folkman woke up a few days ago with this thing on the side of her mouth....and turns out my poor companion has a small case of herpes.....😂😂 it was interesting trying to explain that to the mission nurse. But good news we caught it early and all is well.

Miracle Story
So we were teaching the other day and we ran into this man named Nate, we told him what we were doing and he said he was meeting with some other missionaries in about an hour, from our church. So we talked to him for a bit, then continued teaching. Two days later when I was on splits with Sister Thomas we had another lesson with this same guy. And so we started teaching and we asked him if he read...he said he had read 2 chapters in a day. Then we asked him if he prayed and he said he did. Then he goes on to tell us that he didn't get an answer yet so he is going to continue to pray and read for 2 weeks...,and if he gets an answer he is going to join our church. THIS IS EVERY MISSIONARIES DREAM. Then he came to church, said he got the answer, that he needs to spread this gospel to the rest of the world, and a good way would be through technology. So he's working on ideas this week. HE IS AWESOME. and he is 18. The Lord truly does work miracles and we are so excited to share more of our message with him.

Well it's been a solid week, we are finally getting rain and lots of it. Seeing lots of miracles over here in San Jose and I absolutely LOVE being a missionary. Quick question for you... where do you want to be by the end of 2019? Where do you want your relationship with Christ to be? If you haven't had the chance to set spiritual goals for the year yet, it's super beneficial. The Lord will help you reach any goal you set. I have a STRONG testimony of this. Have the best week.

Love Sister Wiser
