Crazy another week has already passed!! It's been a fantastic week. We had transfers and Sister Folkman is now in Gilroy, and I got a brand new sister. She is the absolute sweetest and is honestly training me. Her name is sister Patterson and she is so happy and fun I love her to death.
Funny
We were tracting on her first day here and I went to knock on this door, and this kind lady answered, however I was like hidden behind this pillar... So I went to step around so I could see her... and didn't realize there was a step. And I legit FLEW off this lady's porch... haha and I was laughing so hard out of pure embarrassment... and had my sweet brand new companion take the entire door contact with this complete stranger. Ha it was like her second door she's ever knocked on and she did awesome. So there's a glimpse into our companionship haha she is put together and I'm falling of porches. It's been an incredible and super busy week. We have set Lord of goals and the lord is helping us reach them all. I am so grateful. :)
Scriptural insight
This scripture really pierced my heart today. To break the this down and make it personal as you read this scripture put your name in the parenthesis. (I did change a few words to make it singular instead of plural)
Mosiah Chapter 14: 5-7
5 But (Your Name) he was wounded for your transgressions, he was bruised for your iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and (your name) with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we, like sheep, have gone astray; You have turned your own way; and the Lord hath laid on him your iniquities.
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb so he opened not his mouth.
And all of this he did for you. All of this he did out of love. Man it makes my heart ache imagining all he went through but how grateful I am for my dear savior. How grateful I am for his selflessness. How grateful I am for unfailing and perfect love. We are taking a deep dive into studying the atonement before Easter, I invite you to join us. :) I love you. Have the best week.
P.s.
Here's the actual scripture:
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we, like sheep, have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquities of us all.
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb so he opened not his mouth.
Love you!!
