Its been another wonderful week down here in California, its was high 70's all week, and we got solid watch tan lines, so that's exciting! But this week has been another week of miracles. I honestly love being a missionary, every day is so different and so exciting and it's just the best.

Funnies
So this week while tracting we ran into the coolest Indian family. They have one of those MASSIVE  dogs that looks like the dog off sandlot... and when we knocked on the door that thing barked and I swear the door like shook... haha I was TERRIFIED. It took 2 full grown people to keep it from taking us out.. ha but thats not the point. This family was so kind and we were able to teach an entire lesson on their porch, and when we went to leave I went to hand them a plan of salvation pamphlet from my bag... and I handed them a chastity pamphlet instead... lol I DIED. haha I grabbed that thing back so fast haha they just looked at me like I was crazy. So anyways moral of the story I put my chastity pamphlets in a different pocket! Haha

Only a guitar away
So yesterday we were out knocking doors and we ran into this girl that's our age who was holding the most beautiful guitar ever. So we talked to her about it and she ended up letting us in and playing for us! She is a worship leader for like 6 different churches and she is SO GOOD. We ended up talking with her for an hour and having the coolest lesson about Christ and our beliefs. She even asked us for a book of mormon and is going to teach me how to play the guitar. Her name is Sam and she is probably one of the coolest people ever. :) We all became like instant friends and she is going to come and do stuff with us this week!

My favorite scripture for this week Alma 20:29-30

29 And when Ammon did meet them he was exceedingly sorrowful, for behold they were naked, and their skins were worn exceedingly because of being bound with strong cords. And they also had suffered hunger, thirst, and all kinds of afflictions; nevertheless they were patient in all their sufferings.

30 And, as it happened, it was their lot to have fallen into the hands of a more hardened and a more stiffnecked people;

The part that I like is where is says "It was their lot." They didn't deserve to fall into the hands of a more wicked people, they weren't being punished it is just the way it turned out to be. It made me think of what "Lots" fall upon us? Do we do what the sons of Mosiah did bear with patients our afflictions? Or do we do what the laminites did, and turn away from God because "it isn't fair." All of us face a different lot then those around us, but God has promised if we will bear our burdens with patients, he will deliver us. And bearing with patients doesn't mean to push through the hard times tooth and nail, it means to look towards God and find joy, even when theres challenges. One of the best way to get guidance and inspiration to challenges you are facing is to watch General Conference. I invite all of you to write down some questions, and enjoy the blessing of watching conferences.:)
