Holy cow this week was so amazing and full of so many Miracles and so many awkward moments. I am realizing the longer I'm on the mission the more awkward I get lol... but that's alright.
No such thing as coincidence
So for one of the more awkward stories of the week, on Monday we were in the grocery store and when we were standing in line to check out there was a couple in front of us and we started to chat with them. They looked super familiar to me so I asked them how we knew each other and they told me that we had knocked on their door. Then EVERYTHING CLICKED. This sweet couple was the family I gave the law of chastity pamphlet to a few weeks ago. Ha my face went super red super fast and we laughed and had a nice but awkward interaction and tried again to share a message... but maybe 3rd times the charm. Hah! my worst door approach ever still haunts me even in the grocery store lol.
Found who I came here to find
We were on exchanges this week and I was in the Spanish ward, it was awesome, and we met the coolest lady ever. Her Name is Krista and when we knocked on her door she seemed super hesitant. However when we shared our message she invited us to come in. She then began to tell us about her life and some terrible challenges she was having and how she needed to go to church but hasn't been able to find one. We ended up visiting with her for over an hour telling her about our church and she was so excited to come. She told us everything she was looking for in a church.. and everything she mentioned, our church offers. She thanked us over and over again for knocking on her door, and was so excited God finally Answered her prayer. She is so amazing and the most prepared person I have ever met. We are so excited.
Speaking in Church
Sister Patterson and I got to speak at church yesterday at a missionary homecoming, and Sister Patterson talked on faith to believe, I talked about Faith to change, and the returning missionary talked about Faith to reap. It was so amazingly powerful and fun to talk and learn more about faith. It seems so simple but yet none of us fully understand it. I am grateful for the opportunity that we have to grow our faith and make mistakes so we can learn. I know that true and lasting faith is built on Jesus Christ. Its not a coincidence that faith is the first principle in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Its powerful and as we learn to better understand it, we will see greater blessings in our life. I invite you to take one step in growing your faith, wherever it may be. Love you.
Sister Wiser
