Faith to un-clog toilets--

Well its been an awesome week. We made a big breakthrough with Joey. He was able to recognize the spirit in his life and has read almost the first book of Nephi this week. He is so solid. On Monday we met a man named Rohit, he had met missionaries before. He's met with us multiple times this week and even came to church.

We did this new way of finding by using blackboards. They are like 10 feet tall and all the sisters in my zone wore normal clothes, took off the name tags, and we went by our first names. It was super weird... but we had so much success and got to meet so many people. It was awesome.

This P-day we learned how to book bind... hah and that's about all I can remember from this week. My P-day next week will be on Tuesday because the mission is taking a trip to the Oakland Temple! Yay!

Favorite scripture this week:
2 Nephi 32:8-9
8 And now, my beloved brethren, I perceive that ye ponder still in your hearts; and it grieveth me that I must speak concerning this thing. For if ye would hearken unto the Spirit which teacheth a man to pray, ye would know that ye must pray; for the evil spirit teacheth not a man to pray, but teacheth him that he must not pray.
9 But behold, I say unto you that ye must pray always, and not faint; that ye must not perform any thing unto the Lord save in the first place ye shall pray unto the Father in the name of Christ, that he will consecrate thy performance unto thee, that thy performance may be for the welfare of thy soul.

I love this scripture. For me, the way to unlock happiness is through prayer. It brings peace, guidance and comfort beyond measure. I love praying. I invited you to say more meaningful prayers this week, you will notice a difference. I love you. Have an awesome week. :)

Sister Wiser

P.S. **Note from Mom - Shelby told me on the phone that one of the toilets in their apartment had been clogged for three days.  They had tried the plunger and wait game all three days.  They were just getting ready to scoop it out with a spoon and a bowl - when they thought to say a prayer over their toilet.  When the prayer was over, Shelby said she would try plunging it one last time - even though it hadn't worked the three days before - it worked this time.  She was so grateful because she was going to be the fix-it girl!!!

This is Vanessa. Probably one of my favorite people ever

Sister Orellana-Funes, the sister I was in exchanges this week.

the Chalkboards! We would write and inspiring question
then people would come and write their response!

This is Aaron. We went to EFY in 2015 and met randomly
while we were doing our event with Chalkboards.

We made omelets with Jessica Torrie. They were so yummy!
