Hello Hello! This week was another week full of miracles. I have 3 super awesome stories to tell you. One is about spending an evening with an apostles mom, the second is about over coming 20 pages of anti material, and the third is about stopping a burglary. Get ready its been a wild one!
On Friday this week we got called to spend some time with this cute 93 year old lady in our roommates ward. We show up and start talking to them, and its the family of Elder Gong! WHAT?!? We are literally standing in the kitchen he grew up in, and hugged the lady who reared him. It was super cool. Anyway, that whole evening we got to hear stories and learn wisdom from Sister Gong and see picture albums, man it was the best!! The spirit in this sweet woman's house was UNREAL. However, another cool fact about this family, when I was in the MTC in Provo, Elder Gong came to visit. He ended up spending an evening with my little district of six people. He answered lots of our questions, and we all had really incredible experience. Then fast forward to 14 months later and I am sitting in his living room...sharing a message with his mom. Like WHAT?!? I will send pictures from this week with his mom.
Story number 2. So this week we had a lesson with Joey, the accountant and auditor we've been teaching for a while, and every time we have a lesson he fires away the HARDEST questions, but our lessons always end on a crazy spiritual note. So this week he brought 20 pages of Anti material.. Haha our opening prayer was legit a plea for peace and understanding and the spirit. Good news, the Lord always answers prayers and our lesson went very well. He felt the spirit, we truly experienced being vessels for the Lord because everything we talked about was definitely not our own words. The lesson ended with an incredible amount of peace, he ripped up the Anti material, and said the most beautiful closing prayer. He said how grateful he was for the peace and understanding he received, and how the spirit taught him in the exact way he needed to learn. It was amazing. God is so good and knows all of his children perfectly. ❤❤
Story number 3. We have been going to stop by a less active family we have never met before, and when we pulled up we saw this family getting into their car and driving away. We were bummed because we thought "if only we would have been 5 seconds earlier we could have made it." BUT GOD IS IN CONTROL. So we went tracting and finding for a few hours then we went back to our car and saw their door was open... I was pumped because that means they would be home right? WRONG. there door was open and there was all this glass around their door handle and it looked like someone broke in. So we booked it off their porch, and then tried to call the owners but no one answered. Then we said a prayer they would come home. And 30 seconds later they did. Sometimes God answers prayers fast. Anyway, we end up talking to them, turns out no one broke in.... Haha they broke their own window yesterday when they got locked out, and they were two less active women. They were both traveling nurses (which is something I want to do) and one of the Gals served a mission. But they invited us over for dinner and we got to spend quality time with them yesterday. So we feel blessed. The Lord and his timing is absolutely amazing. I'm glad we were five seconds late, because if we weren't we probably wouldn't have gotten a return appointment, or dinner. Ha so we are blessed.
We are headed to the Oakland Temple today with almost our whole mission. I CANNOT WAIT. I will send pictures. Have an awesome week. Sending hugs.
