Hello Hello! Man I feel like I write one of these little emails every day hah. Well, we had a lot of wonderful experiences this week I don't quite know where to start. Let's dive in though!
Transfers:
So we got transfer calls this week, We had a five week transfer this transfer. It's usually 6 weeks, but that's okay! But CRAZY NEWS. Sister Neiufi and I are getting another greenie. Strait from the MTC. So we will be in a trio and we will have 2 NEW MISSIONARIES. We just opened the area as well.. so it's going to be a wild transfer. Both of my companions aren't from America, so we will all get to learn English together. Hah!! I'm pumped. Stay tuned next week you will get pictures of the dream trio!
Brother Merkley:
So at institute this week one of the stake advisers came up and asked what Sister was from Idaho, so I raised my hand. Then he asked who was from Blackfoot, so I raised my hand again. Then Dean Merkley began to tell me all about Blackfoot and how he grew up there. So after we talked for a little while I asked him if he knew a Dean Wiser (who is my Grandpa). Turns out he totally does. So we had a super happy and sweet reunion, and he told me about going to school with my grandpa. It was so tender. We took a picture and became fast friends. Brother Merkley will never leave or enter the room now without saying hello. I will attach a picture with him. So many tender mercies.❤
Power up?
So for some reason I have been so crazy tired this week. On Friday Sister Neiufi and I were about to go finding and so as we sitting in our car we decided to say a prayer. She volunteered to pray and started just like any normal prayer, and I of course put my head down, then the unthinkable happened. I said "Amen" and Sister Neiufi was hysterically laughing. So I asked her why, and she told me that her prayer ended 10 minutes ago and I fell asleep on the steering wheel. So I glanced in the mirror and sure enough I had the most massive Chevy symbol imprinted on my face. Hahaha we laughed so hard, and she said on Monday you should take a nap. I told her I was going to take a "FAT NAP." She didn't know what that meant and asked for an explanation. After a decent explanation we went and knocked on doors and found the sweetest old man! However, the story doesn't end there. This morning the alarm goes off and I hear sister Neiufi sigh then in her tongan accent ask "Sister Wiser are you ready for a fat nap?" Haha I laughed so hard. We have too much fun.
Transfer planning:
Transfer planning is always a little crazy but also very cool, and this planning session we had a lot of changes. The best part was after we planned president Hunt took us all out to lunch. When we got there he handed us a $100 bill and said, "lunch is on me." So we grabbed some food then had one of the most entertaining lunch conversations ever. My mission president was the CEO of Nuiskin and was speaking in front of millions of people at conferences monthly. So he was telling us stories of all the cool people he has met, dinners he has been to, and creative ways he entered these conferences. Haha it was so wild, we saw pictures of him surfing in from the ceiling, riding a harley in the building, eating dinner with the leader of China. It was super fun. :) I don't know why I'm telling you this Haha but I've already typed it all out so it's staying. Haha
Spiritual highlight:
So we got to go to the Oakland Temle with Alexandra. The AMAZING self referral I told you about last time. She is one of my greatest friends and I love her so much. But we went to the temple visitors center and looked all around. It was beautiful. We had so many amazing conversations and she learned so much about the temple. It was so amazing. Then at church on Sunday she stands up and introduces herself and tells everyone that she is getting baptized in the next month!!!! Everyone was so excited. We are seeing so many wonderful miracles. We are so blessed.
I loved Come, follow me this week. I loved all of the allegories and the imagery contained in the scriptures about the saviors life. I had a young man ask me how I refine motivation on my mission, I told him that I study the Saviors life. That brings more peace and motivation then anything else. If you ever find yourself down, or needing a lift, I invite you to study the life of the Savior. He will comfort and support you, he will motivate and transform you. Trust in him. Love you.
Sister Wiser
